Weekend Trailer Roundup

Get Him to the Greek (dir.Nicholas Stoller) - Aldous Snow (Russell Brand) of Forgetting Sarah Marshall is back! He's booked to perform in L.A. and its up to a junior record executive (Jonah Hill) to get him there. Not the greatest premise but I thought Forgetting Sarah Marshall was great so I'm excited about this one.

Prodigal Sons (dir. Kimberly Reed) - Director Reed chronicles the story of her family, particularly her brothers whom she has grown estranged from as they grew older. What she discovers about her adopted bro is that he is a blood relation to Orson Welles and Rita Hayworth! Looks fascinating as hell!

Ajami (dir. Scandar Copti, Yaron Shani) - a look at inner city life in Tel Aviv. Since, 2001's docu Trembling Before G-d I have been very interested in the contemporary Israeli situation, in particular their daily life. As this film promises to show, Tel Aviv has much more in common with New York City than any holy site in the world.

Mutants (dir. David Morlet) - Not much more complicated description for this than: a French zombie movie. Have to say that alone makes me interested. Wondering if they have any interesting flourishes to add.

Zonad (dir. John Carney, Kiernan Carney) - An Irish comedy that looks to mine the same premise as the dismal K-Pax. This time around it looks like we will have a much more enjoyable film.

Lost for Words (dir. Sean Wainsteim) - A very intriguing looking film about two children becoming lost in the woods. Looks to have some literary or language elements to the conundrum the children get caught up in.
